After the fire at the recycle facility – Fire brigade thinks we are safe
After the fire in the recycle unit north of ‘the forrest’ the fire brigade says they have focus on this. They have quick response and also more requirements to the owner Norsk Gjennvinning. Neither the owner nor the city has answered the email from us.

Many of our members has had problems with wet mail in the new mailboxes. The Danish producer has accepted responsibility for poor construction, and all mailboxes will probably be replaced this spring.
Fiskå Mølle expands – and sends 34 trucks through our neighboorhood daily!
Fiskå Mølle (the big silos south of here) has changed and expanded their business. They now transport more than 60000 tonns of various goods over their harbour. Ship handling has expanded from 20 to 100 per year. All the goods is transported by trucks via Oddahagen and Forusskogen, with an average of 17 trucks (34 passings) per day. They plan further expansion.
Stavanger kommune (city) has approved the construction of temporary warehouses, but has not considered the expansion in sea and road traffic, with additional noise etc. Both the city and ‘Fylkesmannen’ claim that they have no legal basis to deal with this.
So far there seems to be no public rules which governs this business. Fiskå Mølle has decided to stop work between 23 and 07, to reduce the noise. Ship motors may still run overnigth.
Forusstranda Vel has met with Fiskå Mølle and is also pushing authorities to take responsibility. We cannot accept all this truck trafic on the local roads, the roads our kids take to school.
